"Mexican Slop"
Let me clarify what I meant by "mexican slop." The term came from a Tyler Cowen post in which he describes most American Mexican food as the same slop mixed into different forms, and plopped onto the same plate so that everything mixes together. Neither he nor I would describe true Mexican food as slop. But "slop" is a pretty accurate term for most of the Americanized Mexican food that is found in most "Mexican" restaurants (outside of the Southwest, at least).
